Volunteers Needed to Help With Potential Hurricane Victims

The Midland Empire Chapter in St. Joseph needs volunteers to help handle up to 500 evacuees if a category 3 storm hits New Orleans. The Red Cross will train volunteers to help feed and shelter the victims.
If you would like to help, please visit the Red Cross office at 401 N. 12th Street to complete an application and background check.

RED CROSS VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Disaster Relief - Provide relief services to victims of fires, floods, tornadoes and other disasters. Join our Disaster Action Team.

Health & Safety - Teach lifesaving skills in first aid, CPR, lifeguarding or water safety. Work at first aid stations at community events.

HIV/AIDS Instructor - Give Red Cross HIV/AIDS Education presentations to community groups.

Armed Forces Emergency Services - As an on-call worker, assist military service personnel in contacting their families during family emergencies.

Leadership - Provide guidance through service on chapter committees or the Board of Directors.

Office Assistance - Assist the staff with office duties, including answering incoming phone calls, computer work, processing mailings, etc.
